Resolutions suggested by St John Bosco for a better Spiritual Life.

How often can our lives seem in ‘auto-pilot’? Going through the motions, sticking to routines with lack of care or attention to other things happening around us?

This too can be the reality for many people’s spiritual lives. I wonder just how many people think to themselves ‘I don’t feel the same when I pray or go to Mass?’ or ‘I don’t feel as close to Jesus as I once did, I want that feeling back again?’
This can be often the case when at Holy Mass.

It’s not un-common and often instead of making resolutions we can dwell on the past and let it engulf us.
St John Bosco wrote up a little guide of resolutions at Holy Mass we can make to improve our spiritual routines, many of which we have fell out of practice of or not found the time to do. Just these simple steps can dramatically improve things, especially alongside frequent prayer, confession and penance.
